A nightclub, brought under acoustic control.
Before treatment, reverb times peaked between 1.4 and 1.8 seconds. Sound from the system lingered long enough for each element to blur into the next. The brief was straightforward: make it sound right.
The Burrow is a nightclub at 37th Crescent Hotel in Bengaluru. Hard surfaces, a low metal ceiling, and parallel walls created a reverberant environment that sat between 1.4 and 1.8 seconds. Sound from the system lingered long enough for each element to blur into the next. Musical detail collapsed. Speech clarity, already difficult over a live system, was near non-existent.
The goal was a room that stopped fighting the system — without changing the character of the space that made it worth building in the first place.
After treatment with 77 TRU Sink panels, reverb times dropped to 0.4 seconds — a reduction of approximately 75%. Speech clarity (C50) improved by 100–200%. Music clarity (C80) improved by 150–300%. Overall definition went from 60–90% to 90–100% across the frequency range.
The low end tightened. The same speakers, the same volume — a fundamentally different result. Before and after RT60, clarity, and waterfall measurements are available on request.
