In an untreated room, you are hearing everything, plus the room on top of it.

The importance of depth
Depth is what reaches the low end.
Most rooms are treated only at the top end. The low end, where the problem usually sits, is left alone.
Low frequencies are long, and reaching them takes depth. There is no way around that, and it is the reason our TRU panels do not look like the thin treatment most rooms already have on the wall.

A room that chose to improve their sound.
The room
The Burrow is a nightclub in Bengaluru. Like most spaces, its surfaces are hard: tile, plaster, glass and exposed timber, all under a low metal ceiling.
What we did
We placed 77 TRU Sink broadband absorbers across the room, sized deep enough to reach into the low end. One panel type, working the full range.
1.15s → 0.52s
Reverberation time, 55% shorter
Averaged across 80 Hz to 10 kHz, measured in the room before and after treatment. Full report available on request.
